Who we are
KD-Ziedins.com is the ministry home of Daniel and Katie Ziedins (Love Overflow), based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. For any privacy question or request, email hello@loveontheworld.com.
What we collect
When you subscribe through any of the sign-up forms on this site, we collect your email address and, optionally, your first name. That is the only personal information the forms ask for.
The forms also include a hidden field and a timing check to keep automated spam sign-ups out. Those are used only to decide whether a sign-up looks like a bot; they are not added to your record.
When you simply browse, we do not ask for or store anything about you personally. See "Analytics" below for the anonymous measurement we do use.
How we use it
- To send you a welcome email and occasional ministry updates — usually about once a month.
- To answer you if you reply to one of those emails.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
Services that process your information
We rely on a small number of providers to run the site. They process information on our behalf, and some of them operate outside Canada, including in the United States.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not set cookies. It does keep one small note in your browser's local storage: a flag recording that you have already seen the newsletter invitation, so it doesn't keep appearing. It contains nothing about you, and clearing this site's data removes it.
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and understand which pages are useful, and Vercel Speed Insights to measure how quickly pages load. Both are designed to work without cookies and without identifying individual visitors.
We also count a few anonymous actions — such as when someone subscribes or follows a partnership link — so we can tell whether the site is helping. These counts never include your name or email address.
To make repeat visits faster, the site uses a service worker that keeps copies of the site's own files on your device. You can clear them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every email. You will stop receiving emails immediately.
- Access, correct or delete your information by emailing hello@loveontheworld.com. If you ask us to delete it, we will remove you from our list entirely rather than just marking you unsubscribed.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address while you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your address is kept only as an unsubscribed record, so that we do not accidentally email you again — unless you ask us to delete it completely.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. The current version is always at kd-ziedins.com/privacy.
