Evangelism as a Lifestyle: How to Share Jesus Anywhere
Most people freeze up about evangelism because of a picture in their head: a script they'll forget, a stage they don't want, or an argument they're afraid to lose.
For over twelve years — since Love on Hamilton began in 2014 — we've watched God move in the most ordinary places. Sidewalks. Bus stops. Shelters. Parking lots. And almost none of it happened because someone had the perfect words. It happened because someone was available.
Here's the whole thing in three words.
1. Available
We start the day asking the Holy Spirit to use us, and then we stay alert. That's it. Most God-moments don't arrive on a schedule — they show up in the gaps of a normal day. The person ahead of you in line. The neighbour taking out the bins. The coworker who mentions they're struggling.
Availability is a posture, not a program. You can carry it into a workday, a school pickup, or a grocery run.
"Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give." — Matthew 10:8
2. Everywhere
There is no place off the map for the gospel. We've prayed with people in hospitals, malls, campuses, gas stations, and on the street in the middle of a snowstorm. Some of the most significant conversations we've ever had happened in places nobody would call "ministry."

3. Everyone
Every person you pass is worth stopping for. Not a project — a person Jesus loves and died for. That single shift changes how you see a room.
The simplest place to start

"Is there anything I can pray for you about?"
We've asked it thousands of times. We can count on one hand the people who said no. It costs you nothing, it assumes nothing, and it opens a door that a hundred clever arguments won't.
What to do when someone says yes
- Pray right there. Short and simple. Out loud. Don't save it for later.
- Listen more than you talk. People tell you exactly what they need if you let them.
- Share what Jesus has done for you, not a theological argument. Your story is the one thing nobody can debate.
- Give them a next step. If they're curious about following Jesus, I Am Reborn is a clear, simple place to send them — no jargon, no pressure.

Start with the people already around you
Before you go looking for strangers, look at your own circle. The Greek word oikos describes your household and relational world — the people God has already placed in your life. Writing those names down and praying for them consistently is one of the highest-return things a believer can do.
