Plunder Hell, Populate Heaven: Partner With Us Through e3 Canada
There is an old evangelist's battle cry, made famous by Reinhard Bonnke: plunder hell and populate heaven. It is not a slogan for us. It is the reason we get up on a cold night, fill a cart with coffee and sandwiches, and walk toward the people most of the city walks past.
The gates will not prevail
Jesus did not describe His Church as a fortress waiting to be attacked. He said "I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it" (Matthew 16:18). Gates do not attack anyone. They hold people in. The picture is of a Church on the move, breaking in to set captives free.
That is exactly what we have watched God do. Paul says the Father "has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves" (Colossians 1:13). We have seen that rescue happen on sidewalks, in shelters, at bus stops and in parking lots — one name, one story, one yes at a time.
Every yes on the street is a soul carried out of darkness. That is what we mean by plunder hell.
What God has done so far
It began in 2014 with Love on Hamilton: two people, a weekly night on the streets, and a simple commitment to love whoever was in front of us. We did not have a strategy deck. We had coffee and a question — can I pray for you? — and a growing conviction that God was already at work in people the rest of the city had given up on.
Love on Hamilton has since grown into Love on The World, a movement spreading the gospel, equipping believers and transforming lives in cities across Canada. Every week our teams meet people in desperate need, bringing practical help and the life-changing power of Jesus. You can read the longer story in Twelve Years on the Streets.
A city that gets to meet Jesus for free
Jesus Festival takes the same heart and throws open the doors to a whole city. It is free, family-friendly and unashamedly about Jesus: a night of focused worship and prayer, then a festival day where families, neighbours and churches stand together in a public park and lift up His name.
We believe a city sometimes needs to see what joy looks like before it is ready to hear an argument. That is why we keep building it — and why the vision of a Jesus Festival in every city is spreading through the Jesus Festival Movement. More on the why in Why a City Needs a Party.
Why we partner through e3 Canada
We serve as missionaries with e3 Canada, whose mission is "equipping God's people to evangelize His world and establish His Church." Those three words — equip, evangelize, establish — are the shape of everything we do. We do not just want decisions. We want disciples, and churches that keep making them long after we have moved on.
Partnering through e3 also means your giving is handled with the accountability of a registered Canadian charity. Gifts are made to e3 Ministry Canada, which issues a charitable tax receipt each February for the year's giving, and you can give once or set up a monthly gift. Alongside e3 we are grateful to stand with ministries like I Am Second, God Heal Our Land and Disciple a City.
Where this is going: culture
The gospel was never meant to stay inside a building on a Sunday. The next frontier for us is culture itself — the places where people's identity, ambition and sense of purpose are formed.
That is the heart behind SIX33, our Christian lifestyle and culture brand built on Matthew 6:33: "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Purpose. Performance. Culture. Impact. SIX33 is coming soon, and it exists to carry the same mission — seek Him first, then go all in — into spaces the Church rarely reaches.
And on the streets, Evangelize.World is our latest mission: helping establish 100 multiplying outreach groups anywhere and everywhere around the world. If you want to start one where you live, our guide to starting an outreach team is the place to begin.
You are not a spectator
Here is the part we most want you to hear. Partnership in the New Testament is never a donation to someone else's ministry. It is shared ownership of the fruit.
Paul thanked the Philippians for their "partnership in the gospel from the first day until now" (Philippians 1:5), and told them he was not looking for a gift, but for "what may be credited to your account" (Philippians 4:17). John wrote that we ought to support those who go out for the sake of the Name, "so that we may work together for the truth" (3 John 1:8).
One plants, another waters, God gives the growth — and "we are co-workers in God's service" (1 Corinthians 3:9). When someone on a Hamilton sidewalk says yes to Jesus, everyone who prayed and gave and showed up gets to share in that joy. And there is a lot of it: Jesus said there is rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents (Luke 15:7).
How will they hear without someone being sent? Partners are how people get sent.
Paul's question still stands: "How can anyone preach unless they are sent?" (Romans 10:15). Every person we reach is reached because someone else made it possible to go.
Five ways to partner with us
- Pray by name. Pray for the people we meet each week, for our outreach teams, and for Canada to be set ablaze for Christ. The 7-day evangelism prayer guide is a simple place to start.
- Give once or monthly. Give through our e3 Canada staff page. Monthly partners are what let us plan the next season with confidence.
- Share the story. Send this page to one person who loves to see the gospel go out. Most of our partners first heard about the work from a friend.
- Bring the training to your church. Invite us to equip your congregation, so sharing faith becomes normal for everyone, not just a brave few.
- Come and serve. Join an outreach, volunteer at Jesus Festival, or start a team where you live. Partnership is not only financial — it is shoulder to shoulder.
Stand With Us
We believe Canada is on the verge of its greatest revival, and we are stepping into dark places to shine His light. We cannot do it alone — and we would love to do it with you.
